Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 4 fillets salmon, skin-on (about 6 ounces each)
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb. asparagus, trimmed
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Equipment

  • Sheet pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and olive oil until the mixture is glossy and slightly thickened.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on a parchment-lined sheet pan, skin-side down. Brush the marinade over the fillets and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the trimmed asparagus around the salmon and drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 12-15 minutes.
  5. Serve the salmon with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes and watch for doneness to avoid dryness.
