  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • cooked rice for serving

Method
 

  1. Start by slicing your flank steak, ensuring you're cutting against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth.
  3. In your slow cooker, combine the sliced flank steak, minced garlic, minced ginger, and broccoli florets. Pour your prepared sauce over the top and give it a gentle toss.
  4. Cover your slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in the cashews.
  6. Once finished, drizzle sesame oil before serving over a bed of fluffy rice.
