- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and breadcrumbs. Add diced onions, shredded carrots, and minced garlic. Season with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix gently.
- Form mixture into thick patties. Heat a skillet over medium heat with oil and cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Keep warm under foil.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth, soy sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch slurry until gravy thickens.
- Nestle the hamburger steaks in the gravy, allowing to soak for a minute. Serve topped with gravy and green onions.
