Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 4 fillets salmon, about 6 ounces each
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Equipment

  • Oven-safe skillet
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk

Method

  1. First, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl. Whisk together until blended.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts, cut side down, and cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes until caramelized. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Push Brussels sprouts to one side and lay salmon fillets skin-side down. Drizzle some honey-garlic mixture over each fillet.
  4. Transfer skillet to a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and roast for 12-15 minutes, checking for juiciness.
  5. Once done, drizzle remaining glaze over salmon and Brussels sprouts. Garnish with parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Notes

Experimenting with different vegetables alongside the salmon not only adds great variety to the dish but also showcases the abundance of seasonal produce.
