  • 12 oz. spaghetti
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup bread crumbs

Method
 

  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a separate large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic turns golden.
  3. Once the pasta is al dente, reserve about a cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest. Quickly add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Add salt, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and Italian seasoning, and mix well.
  5. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water one tablespoon at a time, tossing until it reaches your desired creaminess.
  6. Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the pasta, letting everything cook together for another minute on low heat.
  7. Transfer your Garlic Bread Pasta to beautifully plated bowls, garnishing with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.
