Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices queso cheese
  • 4 buns hamburger buns
  • condiments of your choice (e.g., guacamole, salsa, chipotle mayo)
  • fresh toppings (e.g., lettuce, tomatoes, red onions)
  • 2 Tbsp. seasoning (cumin, chili powder, garlic powder)

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with the seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four portions and form patties slightly larger than the buns, making a shallow indent in the center.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden, then flip and top with queso cheese, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Place cooked patties on toasted buns and add your favorite condiments and toppings before serving.

Notes

Allow burgers to rest for a few minutes after cooking to enhance juiciness.
