Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 2 whole ripe avocados (preferably Hass)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
  • 1 unit juice of lime
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Method

  1. Begin by slicing the avocados in half. Remove the pit and scoop the creamy flesh into a mixing bowl. Using a fork, mash the avocados until they reach your desired level of creaminess.
  2. Next, add the Greek yogurt to the bowl, followed by the lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix these together until well combined.
  3. Now, it’s time to add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as necessary.
  4. If you're feeling fancy, sprinkle the chopped cilantro on top for a fresh finish.
  5. Transfer the dip into a nice serving bowl and present it with a colorful array of fresh vegetables, tortilla chips, or pita bread.

Notes

This dip is best served cold and can be made ahead of time to allow the flavors to meld. Store in an airtight container for up to two days.
