  • 12 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna in water, drained

  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup crushed buttery crackers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or unsalted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with a splash of olive oil.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, peas, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half the cheddar cheese.
  4. Toss in cooked noodles until well-coated.
  5. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheddar and crushed crackers.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
